Tracy-Lynn Schuster

( PT, DPT/Owner)

Tracy-Lynn was born and raised in Burlington NC but has roots in Ashe County as both of her parents were raised here. She has fond memories of visiting her grandparents in Warrensville and, over the years, fell in love with the people and the environment of the high country. She and her husband decided to settle in Ashe County and raise their family here…calling Ashe County home.

Tracy-Lynn attended Elon University and received her BA degree in Economics and Business Marketing. Ten years later, she returned to Elon where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. This is where her love for physical therapy began. She, with the help of her husband Greg, started Schuster Physical Therapy in 2015. Their goal was to offer a place where individuals could receive premiere physical therapy in Ashe County.

Tracy-Lynn has a true passion for helping people get back to their optimal self. Throughout her practice, she has been studying the human body through the science of the Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI). This unique approach looks at the body through different lenses and observes postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles that may lead to pain and dysfunction. With the gift of this knowledge, Tracy-Lynn loves the challenge of accepting patients who have been told that they simply need to learn to live with their pain. Her ultimate goal is to fully develop all of the therapists at Schuster Physical Therapy with the same education and understanding.

When she is not in the clinic, Tracy-Lynn loves to spend time outside with her husband and their children (Anderson and Mahaley). As a family they enjoy mountain biking, paddle boarding the New River, and hiking. She has a passion for food and world travel and always looks forward to her next adventure.

FUN FACT: Tracy-Lynn served in the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa where she lived in a mud hut and spoke the native language, Bambara.
